May 2015

We started off May with a fun trip with our cousins to California and Disneyland.  Jaymi and Bryn were both off Track so it was a great way to break up the three week break from school. We all rented a house together that had a trampoline and pool.  As you can see the kids were so excited for a week of fun together!  This is them attacking Wayne.

Kaelyn was still in school and is not a big fan of Disneyland and the long car ride and stroller days so we left her home for a staycation with her Grandma and friend for the week.  She had a great time.

Bryn was surprisingly tall enough to go on most of the rides and she was so excited.

We were quite the crowd with all the little girls dressed up in their princess dresses.  Kinslie even had one little girl take a photo op with her.

We spent the morning of our day at California Adventure running around the park getting fast passes for all the Frozen features.

Even after getting a fast pass and time to come back to meet Elsa and Anna, we had to wait in a pretty long line, but it was definitely worth it.  They were so cute with the kids and we got to spend a good five minutes or more with them.

Jaymi insists on hands up during the fast rides and if you are riding with her you better have you arms up too.

We all love Splash Mountain.  Since we got home Bryn has been asking to ride it again pretty much everyday.

We had an extra day at the park so we did all our favorite rides again.  The kids were playing around in the little Adventure Park in CA and Bryn got picked to do a little duck race activity.  Her duck won the race, and they didn't mind that she threw it in before they said go.

Our other favorite ride is Space Mountain.  It was so nice being able to take the girls on all the fast rides.  Daddy was being silly in this picture...

We decided to splurge this time and do the dining with the princesses.  It was really fun and the food was very tasty.  Our friends Katrina and Neveah from So Cal met up with us that day and come with us.  It was so fun meeting up with them there.

On the drive home with stopped to see our friends and past neighbors the Fails and their newest little addition.  Bryn was smitten.

For Memorial Day weekend we decided to take a last minute camping trip down to Moab with some friends from the neighborhood.  It was so fun and the girls were so excited to set up and sleep in a tent.  We were a little worried about how everyone would sleep, especially Kaelyn because last year she didn't do so well, but everyone slept great, except Wayne and I, but that is to be expected.  It was so fun hanging out with friends and the girls were in heaven with all the other girls they had to play with.

Daddy and his little helpers setting up the tent.

We had this fun rock in our campsite that the kids played on all day long.

Wayne took these two on a couple little hikes on Friday in Arches.

We were all planning on going in and hiking to delicate arch on Saturday but it was so busy they closed down the entrance and weren't letting any more people in.  We ended up doing a little hike to a waterfall and pool that the kids loved.  They loved taking off their shoes and walking through the stream.

We also hiked up to this little hole/cave in the side of the mountain.

Wayne took the girls repelling on Memorial day with his family while Kaelyn and I stayed home and did some Spring Cleaning.  Don't worry the girls went down a smaller rock.

He also took them out on Grandpa's boat for the first time this year.  They were goth excited for their turns to wake board with Daddy.  We love that our kids are so adventurous and will and excited to try all sorts of things.

Bryn lives in dress-ups, this is her dressed up as The Little Mermaid, red hair and all.  I love her little imagination.

Daddy has vowed to grill up lots of yummy food for us this summer with his new grill and he is doing a great job.

My two little shopping buddies.  Kaelyn will randomly give Bryn a big hug and we can never catch it on camera fast enough.

Bryn's cute little friend Scarlet came over for a playdate.  These two crack me up when they play together.

We are loving this warmer weather and being able to do lots of fun things outside.

Jaymi's cute little friends Bree and Mia Cox had their baptism day and these cute friends all sang and signed the song "I know that my Savior loves me"  Their older sisters gave such beautiful talks and the spirit was so strong.  Jaymi is getting so excited for her upcoming Baptism Day.

April 2015

Bryn using her older sister for a pillow, apparently Kaelyn wasn't too excited about it...

Luckily Bryn didn't mind taking a beating for a comfy seat.

Bryn on one of her Daddy Daughter ski trips.

Our neighborhood did a big Easter Egg hunt and had the Easter bunny.  The girls had a lot of fun and giving him hugs and telling him thanks for the eggs.

This is the first year I got it together and did Easter baskets for the family.  We started a tradition that the Easter Bunny hides their baskets somewhere in the house and they have to find it and play hot cold if they can't.

Easter was on Conference Sunday this year so it as nice to be able to stay home and enjoy the messages.  When the Mormon Tabernacle choir sings she climbs up for front row seats.

One of our Spring conference traditions is to make Easter Bunny cinnamon rolls.

I also did the girls hair in fun little do's while we were watching conference.

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Bonners for Easter dinner and an Egg Hunt.  Kaelyn and her favorite person in this world, Grandma Amy.  They have such a sweet little bond.

Dad went to Detroit for work and brought the girls home some fun hockey shirts.

I got to take Jaymi to the Moms and Donuts at school one morning at her school.  She is always so excited when I come to her school, she makes me feel pretty good.

Kaelyn has been spending lots of time at her buddy Blakes house while I got to the gym,  Sarah has her doing all sorts of montessori activities.

The girls and I took a walk to the lake to have a picnic lunch and feed the ducks.  The weather turned pretty nasty on us, but we had fun anyway.

My little shopping friend.  When we got the store she said, "Mom, pretend I'm you Mom-Friend, okay?"  Sure Bryn, I would love that.

Bryn and our cute buddy Eddie at a little Down Syndrome play date.

I played with some friends in a volleyball tournament up in Jackson Hole.  We had a great time and ended up taking third place which was pretty good for us old ladies playing against a bunch current college teams and players.

While I was gone for the weekend Daddy took the girls up yellow fork for a hike.

We met our friends Sarah and Blake in their green court for a picnic and bike ride.

Kaelyn getting her hair chopped off to keep the snarls down to a minimum.

Jaymi at her cheer end of year banquet.  She was on the edge of her seat the whole night waiting for her turn to go up and get her award.

Two of my cute fellow Down Syndrome mothers went on a local television show to talk about our experience with our kids.  It was a lot of fun, I'm so lucky to have so many wonderful friends in my life because of my girls.

I heard about a friend that cut and donated her daughters long beautiful hair and I thought it was probably time to do that for Jaymi.  She loves her long hair and so do I, but she doesn't love getting the tangles brushed out.  It will also be an easier hairstyle for this summer and we can grow it out again.

We are lucky to have a friend that can cut our hair whenever we need her to.

She was excited to have the same haircut as her best friend Mia.

The girls had ballet pictures, I love that they are in the same class.  I love that Jaymi gets to do something that her homeland is world famous for.
