March 2015

We started the month off celebrating Jaymi's 8th birthday.  She has been waiting for months to have her special day.

She had a party with a group of her little friends.  I'm not sure why we cleaned up the playroom before everyone arrived, it looked like this in about 3 minutes flat.

For Jaymi's birthday meal she requested her absolute favorite, Mac and Cheese.  Since we had cake a few days earlier at her party we decided to put the candles in the mac and cheese.

Heavy heavy hangover they poor head...

Kaelyn buckling herself in, silly girl.

Love the moments I get to cuddle my sleeping babies.  One of the most peaceful places on this earth.

We had an impromptu Mickey Mouse waffle party with friend Sarah.

Kaelyn coloring a picture at the doctors office.  I love that she has started doing some big girl things these days.

Jaymi was able to participate in the Miss Amazing pageant again this year.  It is such a great program and the girls had so much fun getting to shine up on the stage.

Waiting for hair and make-up.

These cute girls did a dance together to the song Shake it Off.  Our cute friend, neighbor and babysitter Payton made it up and taught it to them.

Kaelyn peeking out the window at aunt Christy house.

We had a little photo shoot with these cute little guys.

Wayne has started taking Bryn up skiing.  She is doing awesome and loves it.

Tuckered out little girl sleeping on daddy's shoulder during our Costco run.

3/21 is World Down Syndrome Day - We started the morning off at the state cheer competition at the Salt Palace.

Then we met some local friends at the park for a picnic.  It was so fun to celebrate with other families and friends who have children with Down syndrome.

Finished off the night watching Mary Poppins in mommy's bed.  Bryn didn't last too long.

My cuties playing piano with Kaelyn.

Mom's and donuts at Jaymi's school.

Kaelyn playing with baby Blake.  They are becoming quite good buddies.

Sister love.

While I was in California with Jaymi and her cheer team, Wayne texted me this picture and said how proud his little girl was making him.  She has been watching March Madness with him all month.

More tricks.

Looks like Kaelyn is ready to hit the slopes too.

Bryn has been working so hard to fill up her sticker chart to earn a special trip with daddy.  When she completed it we asked where she wanted to go and she said, "on a walk to feed the ducks".  Done.

National Cheer Competition in California

Jaymi and I had the fun opportunity to go to the National Cheer Competition in Anaheim with her cute special needs cheer team.  Four of us moms were brave and road tripped it together.  The girls did so well for such a long car ride and luckily we were able to ride in our friend Heathers new suburban that had two tv's for the girls to watch all sorts of movies.

We drove half way on Wednesday and stayed the night at another friends in-laws home in Las Vegas.  They were so sweet to let us stay with them, even though their grand-daughter wasn't able to make the trip this year.  We woke up Thursday morning and drove straight to the beach.

Jaymi and her best friend in the whole world, Mia.

We rented a cute house near Disneyland and woke up Friday morning and headed out for a fun day with friends at Disneyland and California adventure.

Jaymi is in absolute heaven when she is at Disneyland.  It makes it so much fun for me to watch her having the time of her life.  This was her third time there and lucky for her we are going as a family again in May.

Bryn and her twin friend Bree.

Saturday morning we got the girls up and dolled up for their big National Competition.

Jaymi did so well doing her routine.

After the competition we went back to the house for a fun round of swimming in a Mickey Mouse shaped pool.  These little girls are the best of friends.  They are so lucky to have each other and us moms are just as lucky to have each other.

We finished off the night with dinner and window shopping at Downtown Disney.  We sure played hard!
