August 2017

We finished off the summer with more family fun!  Jaymi participated in a Special Needs Bike Camp and did awesome.  It was 5 days for a few hours in the morning and by the time she finished she could pretty much ride a bike.  We put a little handle on the back so we can help her get more stable and to help her get going but she is doing pretty awesome.

While we were at camp we were able to see the big picture of Jaymi that they used for their fundraising promotion for people and families with intellectual disabilities.

Jaymi was able to go with our new ward up to activity days camp at Tracey Wigwam.  I was lucky enough to go up as a volunteer and had a great time getting to know the other girls and watching Jaymi interact and look up to them.

I even shot my first gun and didn't do too shabby.

We were able to spend a few days down in St George with our friends the Nelsons and grandpa even let us take his boat down with us.  It was super hot so we were so glad to spend a day at the lake.

One morning we went out to check out Snow Canyon and let the kids play in the sand dunes and go for a couple short hikes.

We were able to squeeze in our Annual Park City Cabin picnic with the Anderson's.  Its one of our favorite traditions and we hope to keep doing it for years to come!

Ryan did not want to cooperate for our bridge pic but it sure made for some cute candids.

Kaelyn isn't much of a nature girls so we brought her iPad to tide her over for a bit.

My view for a good portion of the evening, can't beat that.

Kaelyn found a nice quiet place to fall asleep one night.  She decided since we hadn't taken her to bed she would just have to take things into her own hands.

The girls with some of our cute buddy club friends at a baseball activity for our cute friend Isaac.

Some of the Bonner cousins made the trek up to Rexburg to see the total eclipse and we had a great time.  I kept debating whether I wanted to go and take Kaelyn and was so glad I did.  We camped on a soccer field with over 1,000 other people.  The eclipse was so amazing and like nothing we had ever seen before.  It was like a full sunset of orange around the whole horizon, the temperature dropped like 20 degrees and the sun was completely covered.  Everyone was cheering and clapping and the kids were running around dancing and laughing.  It was totally worth it even though it took us 8 hours to drive home, normally a 3.5 hour drive.

They even had a little fair set up with food trucks, shops, pony rides and other activities to do.

When Kaelyn got off the horse she started to sign "more" and put up a good fight to get back on.  We need to get her back in horse therapy.

First day of school pictures!!  Jaymi 4th grade, Kaelyn 3rd Grade and Bryn kindergarten

When I came down to turn off the projector after one of their movie nights I had a good laugh at Bryn's sleeping position.

Fun at Cowabunga Bay with friends.  Bryn and Sara are the cutest friends!

Jaymi being brave at the Story's with their family pet.

Not quite what I had in mind when I said they could do make-overs with their friends.  Lipstick all over their faces!!  Yes it was a blast getting it to come off.

The view outside my bedroom window while Wayne works with Jaymi riding her bike.

At Jaymi's neck check up we found the picture of her at Primary Childrens Hospital.  Its crazy to think that was four years ago.

My dear friends Kecia and Julie came to the New Parent Breakfast to share their stories.  They both did a great job!

Little miss climbed right up there and was like "lets get this show on the road" for her annual eye exam.

Bryn had very specific instructions for her hair one day and luckily I was able to come through for her.

We had another fun evening at Cowabunga bay with the Mascot for Miracles Foundation!

The girls even got to dance with the Utah Cheerleaders

One of Bryn's cute gymnastics coaches, Kiana is leaving.  She is a sweetheart and will be missed by all the girls.

Bryn requested some morning snuggle time selfies.

And she MADE me get in one of them.

We have been able to play with Carter and Ethan for an hour a couple times a week while their mom does the gymnastics carpool.  Jaymi is loving the playmates.

Jaymi and I were able to share our adoption journey with my longtime friend Chelsey's young womens group.  Jaymi loves to share her story and all the young women were so cute and came up to get selfies with her after.  Of course she was in picture taking heaven!

Jaymi and I got to attend her Activity Days Mother-Daughter Tea party together.  We made these cute hats out of news papers and flowers.

Bryn started kindergarten the week after the other girls.  She was so excited to join her big sister and bestie at Athlos Academy.  I can't believe how grown up she is getting.  Her teacher is Mrs. Peterson and she is the sweetest!  Its so good knowing she is in such wonderful hands.

Jaymi was REALLY REALLY excited to have Bryn at her school!
