April 2016

The first of April I had the amazing opportunity to fly to the Ukraine to help one of my best friends with her adoption of sweet little baby Noah.  She needed to stick around for about three weeks while they finished up their adoption but her husband wasn't able to get that long off of work.  It was so much fun to witness such a beautiful thing as a spectator and really soak our time together in.

One of the pretty volcano mountains from my airplane window as I flew into Seattle.

We walked around the square the first night I got there.  It felt so much like I was back in Russia, yet the people in general seemed much more warm and friendly than I remember in Moscow.

Each day we got to go by the orphange and visit with Baby Noah.  Its amazing how more low key it was here compared to Russia.  They would have never let a friend just walk right in for the visits.

I loved watching these two fight over their baby brother.

More gallivanting around town.

Our driver hooked us up with this fun Mexican Restaurant

Got to take advantage of the free Wifi.  AKA...our connection to the outside world.

Kyra and I spent the whole week trying to catch embarrassing pictures of each other, this was the best I could do.

Sunday we got to go to church and visit the Kiev temple.

We met this cute old man that had just recently joined the church.  He didn't speak English but the mission president translated his words to us.  He told us all about his life as an adoptive parent and something that he said that stuck with me is that is children are his treasures.  He was so excited about the gospel and had read the Book of Mormon multiple times in the past few months.

I was pumped I got to do some shopping at Telenova, my favorite store in Moscow.  Found these cute sweets and a sweater.

Heading out to get little guys passport photo.

Getting his gotcha day supplies and outfit ready.

And he's free.......

Getting around Kiev with a stroller can be tricky stuff, good thing we had lots of helpers.

I flew home with the girls and luckily they let us out of Amsterdam even though I was not their guardian.  They were asking us all sorts of questions to make sure I wasn't stealing them or something.

About a week later we got to be at the airport with many friends to welcome Baby Noah and Kecia home.  It was quite the scene with so many Reece's Rainbow kids and families together in one place.

Putting the finishing touches on our Welcome Home sign.

They are home!!!

I made it home from the Ukraine just in time to make it to the Spring play at Kaelyn's school.  She was the cutest little Nemo.

Our cute neighbor friend Gabe

The girls were in very good hands with friends and family while I was away.  Its been a while since Kaelyn and her buddy Blake have kicked it, they picked up right where they left off.

Jaymi was loving the baby snuggles from baby Ryan.

Bryn got to spend one day with Aunt Christy and Braxton.  They had a blast going to the farm at Thanksgiving Point.

When Bryn helps me unload the dishwasher she likes to do it Cinderella style.

Cute Lucy painting nails.

Bryn and her cute friends playing after school one day.  I love these cute little girls, they play so well together, even though three can sometimes we tough.

 Mama's cute little shopping buddies.

Kaelyn's hair is long enough for Piggy Tails and could they be any cuter?

Bryn loves taking selfies and pictures.  This is a gem I found after her and Melea were playing with an old phone.

A cute picture Kaelyn's teacher sent me, her school is seriously the best!

Bryn woke up early one morning and joined me to pump some iron.

The girls got to go to friend Avery's fun birthday party.

Spring weather has us back at the parks.

My Monday night volleyball team won our league play.  Love these ladies!

Bryn was my lunch date and insisted on wearing a dress up, how could I say no to that?

Jaymi had to get some teeth pulled and Bryn was right there to help her through it.

Cute cheerleaders at the Mascot for Miracles Fundraiser.

I got to go to the Children's Discovery Museum with Bryn and her preschool class.

Jaymi had a blast doing Tops Soccer this season.

Our cute friend London came over to play one day and came with us on our Costco run.

Bryn's cute neighborhood friends making goo at the Tucker's.

Jaymi joined a special olympics team this year and we loved getting out side as a family while she practiced.  Kaelyn had fun trying to ride all the bikes.

And doing the bleachers.

Jaymi came with me to watch our friends play club vball and she and Hudson made the best pepper partners during the breaks.

Daddy-daughter selfies.

Daddy-daughter shooting dates.

This girl was cracking us up as we walked home from church.  She looked just like Jackie Kennedy.
