We were able to take an awesome family vacation along with our best friends the Nelson family at the beginning of the month. Jamie and I have been friends since middle school and she has always been the closest thing I have had to a sister. When we were younger we would talk about how we would travel together with our families when we got older and our childhood dream finally came true! It was so fun having our friends there, the kids played so well together.
We started our drive on Sunday afternoon and drove to Beaver where we were able to stay the night with our long lost neighbors and friends the Fails. We miss having them live behind us, but are happy that we are able to keep in touch and see one another when we can. The girls loved playing with their buddies and breaking up the drive.
We finished the rest of the drive to Aneheim on Monday morning and arrived at our rental home with enough time to swim in the pool, cook up some brats on the grill and make a trip to Costco and Target to stock up on food for the week. Tuesday morning we headed to Disneyland bright and early. I made sure to dress the girls in bright matching clothing so we could keep them in our sights at all times.
I had to get Jaymi's traditional pictures in front of the Russian exhibit in "Its a Small World"
The girls couldn't wait to get inside Mickey Mouse's house and meet reacquaint themselves with the little fella.

Then Jaymi blew them back to her and she got them.
We rented a couple really fun houses about a mile from the park. They gave us a great deal since we had to move from one to the other mid-week. They were decorated so cute and everyone loved having this little guy there to greet us.
One Wednesday we slept in a bit, well we wanted to but the kids were always up and ready to go at 7:00 or earlier. We made a nice breakfast, packed up our things to move houses and went to Huntington Beach. It was nice and hot outside so the water wasn't too bad and the kids all got in.
Of course they loved digging in the sand and burying each other.
Even Kaelyn got in on the action which is huge, last time we were there she didn't want anything to do with it.
Bryn got the nickname "Black Beard" while we were there.

After the beach we got all cleaned up and headed to the Mickey Mouse Trick or Treat party back at Disneyland. The girls had a great time dressing up and trick or treating all night.
We decided to wait in line to see the princesses and got so lucky because we were the first ones in line when it was time to switch to new ones so when the ones that were leaving would go to leave Jaymi ran up to them to give them a hug and they stayed and visited for a minute so we got to see all six.
Bryn loved seeing Snow White and having her call them "twincesses"
Aurora was sweet to come visit Kaelyn in the stroller while her sisters visited with Belle.
Snow White and her Prince enjoying the fireworks show.
We had quite the stash of candy when we got home.
Thursday we woke up bright and early again to get to California Adventure for the day. Jaymi was a happy girl as we waited in line for one of her favorites, the Cars ride.
While I was waiting to take off on the roller coaster I heard someone shouting my name. It was my cute neighbor so she snapped a picture of me and Bradie
Twinners
Bryn was in heaven with all the treats.

Friday morning we were right back at it, starting the day at Disneyland and finishing up at California Adventure.
The little roller coaster in Toon Town was Bryn's favorite. She can't wait till she is big enough to go on the bigger rides. She keeps asking if she is big enough yet.
More princesses
Jaymi was so excited to see her favorite Cinderella
The kids had so much fun playing in the Explorers Park in C.A. Freedom to run around and climb and slide.
We were so lucky to have some of our friends from California meet up with us in the afternoon. They were one of the families that were adopting a little girl Jaymi's age from Russia and were not able to get her out.
Both girls picked a Rupunzel baby doll for their souvenir from the Disney store.
Sadly all good things must come to an end. Jaymi was not a happy girl when we broke the news to her that we were leaving Disneyland. Luckily we were able to cheer her up by reminding her of her best friend Mia and that she would get to see where when we got back home. Jaymi was a Disneyland Party Animal. She went strong all day and night and never complained about all the walking she had to do.
