June 2016

June has been one of the most eventful months we have ever had as a family.  Lots of fun. Lots of work. Lots of changes.

We started up the summer with the Bonner Family Reunion in St. George.  We had a great time staying with cousins, swimming, boating, hiking and just enjoying each others company.  Some of the adults woke up early one morning to go repelling.

We all had a blast on Grandpa's boat.

I just can't get over the muscle Kaelyn has put on in her legs the last couple months.  She is getting so strong.

Wayne killing it on the wakeboard, or was he killing himself?  A little of both of course.

A girl dinner party out on the patio.  It was about 100 degrees out there but they didn't seem to mind.

Fun times tubing

Kaelyn and Jaymi snuggling one morning

Silly family games

Launching rockets with Grandpa

Swimming until bedtime every night.

Its not hard to see that Grandma is definitely a favorite around here.

Slumber parties every night

Bryn waterskiing like a boss for the first time.  She went around the lake for like 10 minutes before she finally just let go.

Daddy giving her the pre-ski pump up talk

One afternoon we all went on a hike to the Kanara Falls.  It was a lot longer than we thought and the kids were pretty exhausted by the end, luckily Wayne was able to drive up a ways and picked up all us stragglers.

This was pretty sketchy, especially coming back down with the kids.  Luckily we all made it down safely.

Kaelyn was not a huge fan so her and dad skipped out early.

Kaelyn looking cute & being silly

This sight pretty much sums up the week, pure exhaustion from so much fun!

Before we left for St. George we put our house on the market.  Lucky for us it sold with in two days and we didn't have to keep it clean for showings once we got back.  With the market so good for selling we decided to say goodbye to our first home and start another adventure of building a home.  We will be two doors down from some of our best friends and less than a mile away from our old friends.  Wayne is such a great sport to put up with and eventually go along with my grand ideas.

Our house has not been this clean and put together since we moved in over 7 years ago so I had to document every room.

Finally planted the flowers I have been wanting to since we moved in

So after we got home from St.George we had a week to play and pack for our 10 day trip to Virginia.
The girls are back in the saddle with horse therapy.  They have even started to trot around on the horse and love it.

We spend an afternoon up in Park City with friend Sarah, Blake and Ryan.

Bryn graduated from year 2 of 3 of preschool.  She sure sang her little heart out during the program.

Her cute fun teacher Mrs. Anno

When she grows up she wants to be a princess.  She would make a perfect Disney princess someday!

We hit up the splash pad with Oakley and Kathryn, our soon to be neighbors and life long friends of course.  I spent most of the time chasing Kaelyn and keeping her from heading for the street.

Kathryn's older daughters are so good with kids, I hope we can snag them here and there to babysit when we live close by.

We had Scarlett and her brothers over for a playdate and she made sure Ames was nice and cushy in the swing.

Last day of Preschool for these cuties. We are going to miss having them over every week for a playdate after school.

Here is the floor plan for the home we are building.

Ready set go!  Off to Virginia.  Bryn has been begging to ride on an airplane for years and her dream finally came true.

Look at all those smiles, we had to wake everyone up at 4:30 am to get to the airport and they were such great sports!

Now this is the life.

Kaelyn was going to town on the ice cream cone once we got there.

Within five minutes of arriving at my cousin's the Wintertons house my girls were swept up and in absolute heaven!  I've been wanting to take the family back to visit this amazing family for years and am so glad we were able to make it happen this summer!

Triplets at church

Dad buried in cuddles while we visited with Chelsea and Bradley.

The Winterton's had friends in town and cute little Tanner and the girls were instant friends.

The views on my daily runs were amazing.  I love the beautiful green everywhere.

Kaelyn and mama Tammy

We all went and got smoothies for breakfast to start off Kaelyn's birthday.  She even had a few tastes herself to bring on year 7.

But mostly she just wanted her milk of course.

We made a trip to Costco to get stuff for the Birthday Girls party.

Bryn sure knows how to get her giggling.

Birthday Party time!!

Kaelyn was very interested in Sully, but only at arms length away.

Pizza, cake and ice cream to celebrate Kaelyn and her miraculous 7 years of life!!

One day we drove up to visit with Uncle Cameron, Julie and Baby Sophie.  We got to see the house they just bought too.

My bestie and college roommate Chelsea and her husband are back in Charlottesville while he gets he PhD at UVA.  It was so fun to get to hangout with her.

We spent an afternoon at the pool.

Wayne had a board meeting in D.C. so we drove up there for that and then headed out to Chincoteague Island to spend the rest of our trip with Aunt Joyce on her beautiful part of the world.  When we got to the island we had a special treat, we got to watch the Air Force Thunderbirds take off and land from the Nasa flight facility.

There is a really cute park by her house that the girls loved playing on while I did my workout.

The beach!  The girls could have stayed here all day everyday jumping over waves and playing in the sand.

Kaelyn was feeling under the weather for the second half of the trip but she was such a trooper through it all.

The girls all dolled up in their matching jumpers I brought back from Ukraine.

Kaelyn just "house catting" it up on the back of the chair.

Bryn was a big help feeding Kaelyn while we waited for Daddy's prescription.  He got sick too and was pretty miserable for the second half of our trip.

I had the girls all pumped up to climb to the top of the beautiful Assateague light house and sadly it wasn't open to go inside that day.  I guess we will just have to come back!

Another one of Kaelyn's silly antics.  I guess she decided she needed to practice horseback riding.

Chincoteague has the most amazing creamery.  As you can see it was so delicious Jaymi decided to wear it along with eating it.

Bryn cracks me up, with all the different kinds of ice cream, she chooses vanilla.  Just like her great grandpa Leavitt.

Happy 11 year anniversary to us!!  This is our second anniversary that we spent in airports dealing with delayed flights.  We sure know how to live it up!

Two worn out little girls ready to head home.

But don't worry Jaymi still put her hands up on the landing.

Family picture time!  For Christmas this year we all gave Grandma and Grandpa Family pictures taken in front of Grandpa Bonner's childhood home in Midway.

It felt like we were engaged again, these pictures always feel so awkward but I'm glad we have them.

You want us to do what???

In front of the whole family?

Nope, too weird :)

A group of our volleyball friends got together for a BBQ and volleyball shenanigans since our mutual friend Amy Colton was in town.  So much fun!

I've known most of these women since before any of us had kids and how we had more kids running around than you could have ever imagined!  Lots of future volleyball players in this picture.

Bryn loves our lilies and how they are taller than she is!

Snuggles while we watch a US Gymnastics meet as they prepare for the Olympics.

I told Bryn to go get ready to go to the church with me while I played volleyball and this is what she came out wearing.  Oh my goodness!  She cracks me up. Leo, lime green spandex shorts, Jaymi's soccer socks and cowgirl boots.  Nailed it.

While packing up the house I found this treasure in the closet.  Kaelyn's handprints from when she was a few weeks old.  Sometimes I forget how tiny she was when she entered this world.

The girls favorite splash pool in our neighborhood.

This girl has been growing out of all her summer sandals that were too big to wear last year.  This is not like her!

Oh boy will I be glad when she can't pull this little trick anymore.  I'm sure she will find something just as death-defying at the new house though.
