Fall Fun and Festivities

We sure do love fall around this house.  It means volleyball, football, birthday's, colorful leaves, General Conference, halloween, pumpkins, parties, thanksgiving and lots of other fun stuff.  Here is what we have been doing to celebrate this fun time of year.

University of Utah volleyball game.  These girls take the dancing and cheering during timeouts very seriously.
Rivalry week tailgate party at our office.

Work bowling party.  Jaymi loved pushing the ball down the lane, we even got a strike or two.
The first night of Jaymi and Kaelyn's UFIT program.
Jaymi pushing Bryn on the boogie board.
Jaymi getting warmed up for her first gymnastics class
One of the gyms in our area offers a free special needs gymnastics class taught by their elite gymnasts.  We are so lucky to have so many fun programs and opportunities for our girls.  Jaymi loves it and was totally built for this sport.  She is so strong and flexible, so its right up her ally.

Visiting our new baby neice Averie.  The girls love holding a real life baby doll

Jaymi got to go down on the field for the opening of a Real Salt Lake soccer game.  She was pretty scared by all the hoopla and noise, but our cute little neighbor took her under his wing and she finally calmed down.  She was so excited to come home and tell me all about it.  I love how tiny she is in her uniform.
The girls and I rode the train to Gardner Village to explore their halloween witches exhibits.  We had a lot of fun.  Jaymi asks to ride the train everyday so its nice when we can find a reason to ride it.
"What in the world is this lady?"

Bryn was a little nervous to get to close at first.  By the end of the day she wanted to climb right up on the different witches.

We splurged and got the girls some "witchy" toes.  They were both so good to sit still while they painted their toes.

Hanging out with our good buddies Cohen and Avery.

Jaymi is now missing both her front teeth, now we know what she'll be asking for for Christmas
The girls and I went on a road trip out to Grandma Ruths over UEA to make their Christmas dresses.
Of course we had to stop at Dad's favorite restaurant in Heber, Dairy Keen.

My parent's took us all our for dinner to celebrate my upcoming birthday

Whats better than going to a pumpkin patch?  Going to our good friend's farm and picking out as many free pumpkins as we wanted.  The Horrocks family have been some of our closest friends since before I was born . The girls loved playing with their grandkids and getting pumpkins to take home.
They had lots of leaves the run and jump in.

"Hmm, how do I decide?"

We loved spending so much time with Grandma Ruth.  She is still going strong, sewing everyday.  The dresses turned out beautiful, thanks to her!  I just tried really hard not to mess them up.

My mom sent home some of my old dance costumes and the girls had a great time dressing up in them and dancing around the house.
I love that this blue leotard goes down to Bryn's knees.

Carving our pumpkins for Family night.
Jaymi on the other hand wasn't so sure about it and had to keep taking breaks to wash her hands.

The finished products

I made these little frankenstein apple sauce pouches for Jaymi's dance party.  Once in a while I get creative
The girls and I got to help out at Jaymi's class party at school on Halloween.  We were in charge of the cookie decorating station.  Its so fun being able to get to know the other kids in her class.   She absolutely loves school and is doing so good!
My little helper Bryn
Kaelyn was so patient while we helped the kids decorate their cookies and trick or treat around the school.
These two are best friends, I love when I catch them being sweet with one another.

Jaymi quite enjoyed her first Halloween!  She was so good at trick or treating.  We dressed the girls up in their Russian dresses an they looked so cute.  We couldn't have asked for better weather, they didn't even need to wear coats while trick or treating.  I was able to wear my nice white Russian coat, any chance to wear it is a reason to get excited!
Bryn waiting in line to get cotton candy from Napoleon Dynamite.  We have the best neighbors ever!

Jaymi loved visiting Grandma Buntjer and Lucy.
